HONG KONG, CHINA - Media OutReach - 30 August 2018 - Z-POP Dream Project (Z-POP Dream), a Korean Headquartered global entertainment platform is set to revolutionise the pop music industry through the use of Blockchain technology. They will be launching their Initial Token Offering (ITO) on October 1^st 2018.

Founded by the same team that launched global Korean Pop (K-POP) sensations PSY, Girls' Generation, BTS, EXO, and WannaOne, Z-POP Dream is the first of its kind that seeks to establish a global entertainment ecosystem to better discover hidden pop music talents. Using blockchain to accelerate a new star's rise to stardom and creating a global token economy within the $46 billion global music market, this new ecosystem will be built hand-in-hand with millions of K-POP music fans across the world.

Z-POP Dream will be powered by hundreds of millions of K-POP music fans across the world through the use of the company's own cryptographic token, the ZPOP coin, which will be based on the Ethereum blockchain platform.

Leading the Z-POP dream is Founder and CEO, Mr. Jun Kang, an SM Entertainment veteran who initiated the first wave of K-POP expansion into the international market and made significant contributions to the industry. The highly respected K-POP pioneer brings along a wealth of experience and is confident that blockchain technology can transform today's inequitable music industry

* *

The Z-POP Dream platform's business model will focus on two key components. One, the proceeds from the Initial Token Offering (ITO) will be used to create infrastructure for this star creation business. Secondly, it will create a global online monetization platform, which will tokenize the revenue opportunities generated by the star creation business, including concert tickets, merchandise, online content and admission to exclusive events. By combining these two elements, a substantial part of the current $46 billion global music market opportunity will inevitably involve the Z-POP ecosystem and fuel it's token economy. Z-POP Online will be open to both K-POP artists and fans and help to unite a broader audience and create a greater community.

"Through the Z-POP DREAM Project, we aim to create a new generation of Global Pop Stars through the power of the fans, to equalise the playing field and empower both fans and artists alike to better achieve their dreams. With our outstanding team of industry veterans and proven track record, breaching the global music stage will no longer be just a pipe dream for local artists aspiring to showcase their talent to the world," says Mr. Jun Kang.

*About Z-POP DREAM*

Z-POP DREAM was founded in Seoul in 2018. Z-POP DREAM was founded by Jun Kang (CEO), Norimitsu Kameshima. Founding Partners are Richard Douglas, Jung Hun Kim and Tetsuya Mori (CTO). The Executive Production and Advisor Team includes Yun Jae Lee (Executive Music Producer), Joo Sun Lee (Executive Choreographer), Daisuke Imai (Celebrity Advisor) and others. Z-POP DREAM will establish a global entertainment ecosystem to discover hidden pop music talents, accelerate their rise to stardom and create a global token economy within the $46 billion global music market, hand-in-hand with hundreds of millions of K-POP music fans.

We Must Remember The Two Sides Of John McCain – OpEd

$

John McCain was a complicated American politician. A celebrated war hero, McCain put a “happy face” on the drive to destroy Palestinian rights and wrapped his defense of Israel in warped reasoning and populist logic. But he was smart enough to avoid open displays of racism and bigotry, knowing it wouldn’t attract votes.

Americans had a love-hate relationship with McCain. He was ridiculed when he ran against Barack Obama in 2008, but was glorified by the same critics when he became the Republican Party’s most virulent critic of Donald Trump, and in death.

How could McCain not hate Trump, the “outsider” who easily won election as president, while McCain, a 31-year senator with political power and beltway prestige, never could?

McCain died on Aug. 25 of brain cancer and is being memorialized for his positive achievements in America and around the world. But is that enough? He had two sides: One as a heroic soldier who was captured and tortured during the Vietnam War; and the other as a member of America’s political elite defending Israel at the expense of principals, morality and the international rights of Palestinian civilians.

As an Arab American, I see both. I had hoped McCain would have made amends for his many misjudgments. He didn’t. Just bringing it up has drawn the ire of other Americans who, because of ignorance or racism, feel criticism of McCain is wrong, immoral and contemptible.

I can sympathize with his suffering as a human being but I can’t forgive McCain for his actions that enabled Israel’s continued abuses against the Palestinians. His history is replete with facts that most Americans either don’t know or have chosen to ignore.

There are many events in McCain’s life spotlighted in the endless remembrances and memorials this week. The most notable was his service as a US Navy pilot who flew bombing missions over Hanoi during the Vietnam War. His plane was shot down and he spent five-and-a-half years as a prisoner of war.

His capture came at the same time as his father, John McCain II, was promoted to commander of all US forces in Vietnam. A Vietnam era veteran myself, honorably discharged in 1975, I too served my country with pride. But I have always been disgusted by the hundreds of stories the media and military tried to squelch about the intentional killing of civilians during the war. Vietnamese women and children were shot in their heads for sport, as Palestinians are today, killed by Israeli sniper fire across the Gaza-Israel border.

It didn’t help that I was reading Seymour Hersh’s new book, “Reporter,” in which he details both the hypocrisies of the mainstream American news media and the many atrocities committed by American soldiers during the Vietnam War. Most of the bombs dropped by US Navy fighter pilots over Hanoi, Hersh documented, hit civilian sites rather than their intended military targets.

McCain is hailed for surviving Viet Cong torture as a POW. Yet, the same people cheering him have closed their eyes to worse torture or embraced it when used against Arabs after 9/11.

McCain is also remembered by many Americans and Arabs for his defense of Obama during the 2008 presidential election that McCain lost in a landslide.

During the same 2008 presidential campaign, the news media also ignored concerns expressed by Arab-American candidate Ralph Nader. He detailed how Israel intentionally attacked the USS Liberty on June 8, 1967, killing 34 American soldiers and wounding 171 more, and he slammed McCain for his silence.

A military inquiry into the assault defended Israel and rejected the sworn testimony and first-hand evidence of the Americans on the ship, who said Israeli war planes intentionally targeted the Liberty. The inquiry, ordered by McCain’s father, falsely concluded only days later that the Israeli attack was an “accident.”

When A. Jay Cristol, a pro-Israel activist and former Navy pilot during the Korean War, penned a defense of Israel’s actions 36 years later, McCain wrote a testimonial lauding Cristol’s conclusions, which defended his father.

McCain shamefully chose to stand with Israel instead of with American veterans who served on the Liberty, who to this day are demanding that Israel be held accountable. One such witness to the Israeli assault is the highly decorated American veteran Lt. Cmdr. James M. Ennes, who was an officer on the Liberty.

Arabs do not celebrate the deaths of others, including those with whom we disagree or battle. We offer prayers for the deceased. As we remember McCain’s life, let’s remember everything. Respectfully, but honestly. Reported by Eurasia Review 12 hours ago.

SAN DIEGO, Aug. 30, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Envision Solar International, Inc., (OTCQB: EVSI) (“Envision Solar,” or the “Company”), the leading renewable energy, media, branding and EV charging product company, announced that Idaho National Laboratory has selected the Company’s EV ARC™ product to provide emissions-free EV charging for its fleet vehicles. The EV ARC™ product’s ease of deployment and environmentally impact-free installation, coupled with the truly emissions-free driving it delivers, were major factors in the Lab’s decision to select EV ARC™ over grid-tied options. Using the EV ARC™ aligns with their goal of integrating clean energy and sustainability performance improvements, which includes fleet management, as part of their environmental policy. The remote location of INL’s desert site along with the need for clean mobility and no construction made EV ARC™ the perfect choice. EV ARC™ products continue to charge electric vehicles during grid outages, which make them a crucial part of resiliency planning for electric fleets.

“We are honored that more Department of Energy Laboratories are selecting the EV ARC to charge their fleet vehicles,” said Envision Solar CEO, Desmond Wheatley. “We are looking forward to enabling the driving on sunshine experience for their entire fleet, employees and visitors too.”

In many locations, fleet vehicles are electrifying faster than the general driving public. So far this year, the mayors of LA, San Francisco, Portland and Seattle have partnered on a Request for Information for 24,000 electric fleet vehicles and 30 other major cities are seeking the same information. According to Bloomberg, the landmark EV order has an estimated price of $10 billion. Envision Solar views fleets as a major opportunity and is currently supplying New York and many other cities.

Invented and manufactured in California, the EV ARC™ fits inside a parking space without reducing available parking and generates and stores enough clean solar electricity to power up to 225 miles of EV driving in a day. The system’s solar electrical generation is enhanced by EnvisionTrak™ which causes the array to follow the sun, generating up to 25% more electricity than a fixed array. The EV ARC™ products store energy for charging day or night, and to provide emergency power during grid failure. The EV ARC™ product is a permanent solution but because it requires no trenching, foundations or installation work of any kind; it is deployed in minutes and can be moved to a new location with ease. EV ARC™ products power Level I, Level II and DC Fast Charging and can work with a customer’s existing EV charging service provider.  EV ARC™ products are manufactured in the company’s San Diego facility by combat veterans, individuals with disabilities, and other minority demographics and highly talented, mission-driven team members.

DETROIT (PRWEB) August 30, 2018

The 8th Annual Jalen Rose Leadership Academy (JRLA) Celebrity Golf Classic was held on August 26 & 27 in Detroit and raised over $100,000.00 for JRLA. The weekend was hosted by NBA Star and current ABC/ESPN Analyst, Jalen Rose, and many celebrity friends benefitting the open enrollment, public charter high school he founded in his hometown of Detroit. JRLA currently ranks third for open enrollment high schools in the City of Detroit for college enrollment and first for college persistence.

The annual event began on Sunday, August 26 with The JRLA Red Carpet & Gala presented by MGM Resorts International at MGM Grand Detroit. Celebrities and guests entered the exquisite MGM Grand Ballroom via a Red Carpet for a elegant evening experience. The star-studded event featured cuisine by MGM Detroit, a hype musical performance by DJ sensation, D-Nice and signature cocktails presented by Tanqueray No. TEN and CIROC. New this year, was the 2018 JRLA Leadership Award, presented by Jalen Rose to David Merritt and Kuhu Saha for their work with the FATE Education Enrichment Mentoring Program and the JRLA scholars.

On the morning of Monday, August 27, the historic Detroit Golf Club hosted the 8th Annual Jalen Rose Leadership Academy Celebrity Golf Classic presented by Tom Gores and Platinum Equity. The sold-out event was played on both the North and South Courses. Guests enjoyed putting lessons presented by UAW-Ford from special guest, Professional Golfer and Event Co-Host, Seema Sadekar.

Celebrity guests included former NBA Veterans and Michigan sports stars; Tracey McGrady, Jimmy King, Malik Rose, Howard Eisley, Spencer Haywood, Jordan Crawford, Shasta Averyhardt, Perry Watson, Maceo Baston, Antoine Joubert, Steve Fisher, Ron Harper, Willie Norwood, Dave Bing and many more.

Each tee-box featured a different “JRLA Future Leader” sign highlighting the success of a scholar along with various event partner logos. The official event vehicle sponsor, Jeep, positioned a Wrangler Rubicon and Grand Cherokee Limited on course for Hole-In-One challenges. Guest were able track their scoring live on handled devices sponsored by Others First. Post round playoffs, just outside The Clubhouse Lounge presented by ABC's "Fresh Off The Boat,” were presented by Puma Basketball which featured a $5,000 Putting Challenge and a One-Million Shot.

“These past couple of days have been amazing. I’m blessed so many people believe in our mission and want to support our efforts,” said Rose. “Your education shouldn’t be defined by your zip code and that’s why I founded JRLA. As a public charter high school in Detroit, we get zero state funding for our facilities and receive less state aid than traditional public schools, especially those in surrounding suburbs. This is our largest fundraiser of the year and the funds raised allow us us to provide unique opportunities for our scholars and the facility to house them.”

The event continues to be tremendous pillar for success for JRLA and again proves to be the premier celebrity, lifestyle and golf experience in Detroit. For additional 2018 highlights and 2019 dates, please visit the official tournament website http://www.jalenrosegolfclassic.com.

We've made great strides this year building brand awareness, adding customers, executing on our R&D strategies, expanding our sales force and further developing our internal infrastructure. Through the first six months of the year, we have allocated a significant amount of our resources into future projects and innovation of our line of products to better serve our clients and to further differentiate ourselves from our competitors."

*Financial Results for the Three Months Ended June 30, 2018 compared to 2017*

The decrease in revenue relates to product mix in sales as there was an increase in recurring solution orders in the second quarter of 2018 and less of a concentration in equipment sales that carry a higher sales price.
· Gross margins in the first quarter of 2018 was 55.2%, compared to 62.9% in the second quarter of 2017. The primary reason for the decrease in our gross margins was attributable to our customer and product mix in sales during the three months ended June 30, 2018.
· Loss from operations in the second quarter of 2018 was approximately $866,000, compared to $1,156,000 in the second quarter of 2018, representing a decrease of $290,000 or 25%. Our loss from operations improved in the current period as a result of lower operating costs.

The decrease in our net loss is attributable to our lower loss from operations, offset by the induced conversion costs we incurred in connection with the conversion of the 700,000 convertible note payable.

The Single Biggest Breakthrough In Oil Tech This Year – Analysis

$

By Charles Kennedy

Utah holds the largest reserves of oil sands in the United States, but up until now, no company had the technology to exploit these vast resources.

Despite the potential, “only a few companies are pursuing the price-sensitive and water-intensive development of the state’s oil shale and oil sand resources,” the EIA said in a 2017 report on the state, essentially writing off the region as a meaningful opportunity.

But that could change in the very near future. Petroteq Energy hopes to bring the first commercially profitable oil sands production online in the United States in the next few weeks.

“We have a very disruptive technology,” David Sealock, Petroteq’s CEO, told the New York Times in a sweeping profile of the innovative oil sands company. “There was a treasure chest here that didn’t have a key, and this technology is the key.”

Unlike Canada’s oil sands, characterized by vast toxic tailings ponds and environmental destruction, Petroteq has pioneered a breakthrough approach to oil sands production that minimizes the environmental impact.

Petroteq uses a proprietary technology involving solvents that cleanly extract heavy oil sands by separating out the oil from the rock. Crucially, unlike destructive processes used in Alberta, Petroteq’s approach uses no water at all and does not pollute the soil. “What’s in Canada is an environmental nightmare,” Jerry Bailey, president of Petroteq, told the NYTimes. “With our operation, nothing goes in the air, nothing goes in the ground, and there is no water involved.”

The company crushes oil sands, mixes it with solvents, and spins the mixture in centrifuges. The process yields oil separated from the sand. The sand, free of oil and solvents, can be returned to the earth, while the solvents can be reused. The entire process makes a mockery of traditional oil sands processing, which involves vast quantities of water, chemicals, heat and toxic fallout.

On top of that, Utah would not have the same pipeline trouble that has plagued Canada’s oil sands. Producers in Alberta have proposed several pipeline projects that would essentially travel the length of the North American continent, several of which have been blocked at every turn, most notably TransCanada’s Keystone XL pipeline. Utah oil producers such as Petroteq wouldn’t have this problem. Petroteq sells its crude to local refineries, which can process the oil into diesel fuel.

These aren’t starry-eyed dreamers, but rather seasoned industry veterans. Sealock used to work for Chevron and two oil sands companies in Canada, while Bailey is a former ExxonMobil President.

They are starting small, but have huge ambitions. Petroteq has plenty of oil to work with, and the company is eyeing the 14 to 15 billion barrels of estimated oil sands reserves in Utah, plus more in the surrounding Rocky Mountain States. But, obviously, Utah is not the only place in the world with heavy oil sands. Petroteq wants to license its technology to companies in Australia, Colombia, Trinidad & Tobago and many other places.

The big question, though, is whether or not the company can make a profit. Petroteq claims it can breakeven with oil prices at just $32 per barrel, putting it on par with some of the most competitive shale basins in the U.S., including the Permian basin. And with WTI trading just below $70 per barrel, there is a large margin of error to work with.

Independent analysts are somewhat impressed, if guarded, about the novelty of the new technology. “The price is now in a zone where Petroteq can possibly justify what they are trying to do,” Kevin Birn, an oil sands expert at IHS Markit, told the NYTimes. “If the last decade has told us anything, I’d hesitate to rule out the potential for technology to generate new sources of energy supply.”

Petroteq is currently producing 1,000 barrels per day, with a plan to scale that up to 5,000 barrels per day in three years. To be sure, this is a relatively minor operation in the grand scheme of things, but it would likely spark broader investor interest, clearing the way for Utah’s oil sands industry.
