Johnson & Johnson and American Corporate Partners Begin Public Service Campaign

Johnson & Johnson CEO and Chairman, Alex Gorsky, encourages American public to volunteer with veterans non-profit.

New York, New York (PRWEB) February 05, 2014

American Corporate Partners (ACP) is pleased to announce the launch of a new public service campaign that encourages Americans to help returning veterans succeed in entering the workforce.

During the 30-second spot, Johnson & Johnson Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Alex Gorsky directs people to visit the unique, non-profit on-line community at http://www.acp-advisornet.org, and sign up to volunteer career guidance and mentorship to veterans who are seeking help. Anyone can sign up to be a mentor, and any U.S. military veteran can sign up to be mentored.

“Because their service deserves our service,” says Mr. Gorsky in the 30-second spot which was produced by Roberts and Langer DDB. The campaign will be airing on major national television networks through the spring.

“We’re building a community that’s committed to helping ensure the success of our veterans and their families,” said Sid Goodfriend, Founder and Chairman of ACP. “ACP AdvisorNet is providing a forum for Americans to share their business expertise with the men and women who have served our country. They need our help possibly now more than ever as they look to successfully integrate into the workforce.”

It’s estimated that last year alone, more than 250,000 of our service members returned home and those numbers are expected to exceed more than one million within the next few years. Today leaders and associates from more than 50 companies like Johnson & Johnson have signed on to participate in the on-line community.

“Homecomings are a happy time but they can also be stress triggers,” said Mr. Goodfriend. “The big questions I often hear are ‘What can I do with my military skills?’ and ‘Where can I go for guidance about my career?’ ACP-AdvisorNet is one place veterans can find some of that direction.”
