Veterans from the former Royal Gloucestershire, Berkshire and Wiltshire Regiment marched through Gloucester yesterday to mark the Back Badge. The regiment was awarded the honour of wearing the badge after it held off attacks by Napoleon's troops at the Battle of Alexandria in 1801. Following the march through the city, attended by Gloucester mayor, Chris Chatterton, a service took place at St Mary de Lode Church in Southgate Street.
