The mobile phone section of an electronics store resembles a spring training baseball roster: a few (expensive) stars, a bunch of solid veterans, newcomers full of promise and journeymen trying to prolong their careers. Phone cameras and displays already have approached practical limits, and the new phones won't perform any better than current ones for texting, social media, navigation and entertainment - the stuff you use your phone for. Do you have any ideas for how I can get my MP3 player to download music from Spotify? To access Spotify music, a mobile device must have a wireless data connection or Wi-Fi and the ability to download the Spotify app - capabilities lacking in most MP3 players. Ditto with iPods, except for the iPod Touch, which does have Wi-Fi and can download the Spotify app. All of the essential applications that I need are on the iMac, but I would like to retrieve some of the files from my PC and put them on the new computer or in the cloud. Do you have a recommendation for hardware and software that I can use to transfer files? Assuming the drive is OK, remove it from the PC case, then insert it into a compatible USB disk drive enclosure (around $25).
