The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Francisco Airport North will welcome veteran Rob Jones on his way to completing a cross country cycling journey.
Denver, CO (PRWEB) March 24, 2014
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Francisco Airport North is excited to announce they will be hosting Rob Jones before his cross country trip concludes. Rob is currently bicycling across the United States, averaging 30 miles per day. He was injured by an IED while on deployment in Afghanistan in 2010, resulting in a double leg amputation. He is now making his way across the country to raise money for the Coalition to Salute America’s Heroes, The Semper Fi Fund, and Rise 2 Recovery; all of which aid veterans with challenges similar to his own.
The DoubleTree by Hilton brand has been actively involved in Rob’s journey since it began in Portland, Maine during the fall of 2013. His mission encompasses the DoubleTree by Hilton CARE culture, which is the brand’s unique expression of continuing Conrad Hilton’s vision of “filling the earth with the light and warmth of hospitality” through encouraging team members at every level to create rewarding experiences for their hotel guests, the communities they serve, and each other.
The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel San Francisco Airport North looks forward to welcoming Rob Jones, the dedicated team making the journey with him, and his father on March 26th. The hotel would like to invite the community to show their support for Rob and his mission by stopping by the hotel with words of encouragement, or even joining Rob for part of his ride. Additional information can be found on the hotel’s Facebook page.
