The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs broke ground on its Charlotte VA Health Care Center on Friday, a 295,000-square-foot, six-story outpatient health center to be built on a 35-acre parcel at West Tyvola Road and Cascade Pointe Boulevard. The facility will be more than four times the size of the current 65,000-square-foot Charlotte Community-Based Outpatient Clinic. Opening is targeted for spring 2016. Here’s a look into the VA’s groundbreaking ceremony.
