The Chesapeake law office of Marcari, Russotto, Spencer & Balaban, PC is competing against other legal professionals to collect donations for the Legal Food Frenzy Food Drive. The competition runs from March 31 to April 11, 2014. All contributions are donated to the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore.
According to their website, The Legal Food Frenzy brings the local legal community together to provide the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore with much-needed food and funds to serve the children, families and seniors in our area that struggle with hunger. All firms, legal departments, law schools and individual practices are encouraged to register.
The Foodbank is accepting donations of non-perishable food in non-breakable containers. Items such as peanut butter, tuna, beans, canned fruit and vegetables, cereal, pasta, oatmeal, soups, stews and baby products are welcomed. Cash or check gifts are also accepted.
Marcari, Russotto, Spencer & Balaban encourages local residents to help the cause and offer what they can.
“Not everyone realizes hunger is a local problem, and people are starving in our own backyards,” said firm partner Don Marcari. “We hope the community bands together to collect donations and help us serve those in need.”
