Two groups that advocate for veterans in Rhode Island and across New England are sharing $3.3 million in federal grants for housing and other services. The state’s congressional delegation said Thursday that Operation Stand Down Rhode Island is getting more than $1.3 million from two separate grants to help provide at-risk and homeless veterans with housing, job training, placement services, and other supports.
