Military Veterans Honored during Ceremony at Silverado Memory Care Community

During a special pinning ceremony in Naperville, Illinois this week, 17 veterans, representing all five branches of the U.S. Military, were honored for their service with commemorative pins and certificates. The event took place at Silverado Memory Care Community, where all 17 of the veterans reside. More than 100 people attended the event — many brought to tears by the touching ceremony — which featured a live performance of military tunes and hor d'oeuvres. Several of the honorees shared stories about their experiences serving in World War II, the Korean War, and in Vietnam.
