MilitaryConnection.com surpasses 266,000 “likes” and “followers” on Facebook and Twitter.
Simi Valley, CA (PRWEB) July 28, 2014
MilitaryConnection.com, known as the Go To Site, has reached a milestone in its social media standing, with over a quarter million “likes” and “followers” on Facebook and Twitter.
This well respected website enjoys robust traffic, which allows MilitaryConnection.com to offer effective programs to employers seeking to recruit viable candidates in all occupational areas, schools looking to have potential military and Veterans students review their education programs, and a natural outlet for providers of select programs and services.
“It is such a pleasure to be able to serve the military community as a way of saying ‘We appreciate your service’,” said Administrator Judi James, who is also responsible for the twice-monthly newsletter. Because of their very large database of emails, they have a wide distribution of their newsletters, as well as important messages from their partners and advertisers. “Everyone here at Military Connection is either a Veteran or the child of a Veteran, so we all understand the sacrifices involved, and the need to disseminate information that will help them and their families.”
CEO Debbie Gregory is proud to be affiliated with a great number of non-profits that benefit the Military Connection audience, mind, body and soul. Among these non-profits are CalVet and Habitat for Humanity, who are working together to house Veterans, the David Lynch Foundation, which is providing alternative treatments for PTSD, Give an Hour, whose volunteer mental health professionals are providing confidential therapy, and for those who need grief counseling, Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors is there to answer the call. There are many, many more.
Additionally, Ms. Gregory takes great pride in the role Military Connection plays working with numerous associations and government agencies. By thinking outside the box, she has been able to facilitate win/win partnerships that not only help the aforementioned non-profits, associations and agencies, but also her clients, putting them front and center before this great audience.
Ms. Gregory also attributes part of the company’s popularity to the writing staff, and their ability to present news and articles of interest in a timely manner. “Our head staff writer, Joe Silva, is a Veteran of the U.S. Navy, and he is also a recent college graduate. By taking advantage of his excellent Post 9/11 GI Bill education benefits, Joe was able to put his skills to use in a job that he enjoys. Joe has walked the walked, so he can talk the talk.”
Because of his Veteran status, Joe is well aware of the challenges faced by those currently serving, those who are in transition, Veterans and their family members. The writing staff takes great pride in presenting the news and information that is vital to this community. A short introduction to each news story appear on social media, with a link to the full story on the MilitaryConnection.com blog.
Ms. Gregory is also the founder of Veteran and Military Business Owners Association (VAMBOA), a 501(c)6 non-profit trade association. Since 2011, VAMBOA has been helping Service-disabled Veteran business owners, Veteran business owners and military business owners succeed by connecting members with the resources they need to start and maintain a successful business. VAMBOA does not charge for membership.
