Not only is the Earthwise “All American Reusable Bag” designed, cut, sewn, and printed in America, the canvas material is milled here as well. Sewing facilities employ Veterans from the Los Angeles-based Green Vets LA and Earthwise partners with Veteran’s non-profits to raise money with each bag sold making this truly an “All American Bag”.

Earthwise Bag Company, Inc. is dedicated to developing eco-friendly, innovative and exciting new products for the environmentally conscious retailer and consumer. As part of their ongoing commitment, Earthwise developed a reusable bag option to “Buy American” when you are purchasing reusable shopping bags. Their “All American Reusable Bag” is a canvas reusable bag that is designed, cut, sewn and printed in the USA. People want to buy American-made products to support our nation’s workers – and now they have an “Earthwise” option to buy American-made products that are made by US Veterans who have selflessly served our country.
Steven Batzofin, Vice President of Marketing, said “Not only is our ‘All American Reusable Bag’ designed, cut, sewn and printed in America, the raw materials and components are sourced domestically as well.”
Earthwise is working closely with Green Vets Los Angeles, a non-profit organization assisting Veterans from the West Los Angeles VA Hospital that provides job training to both injured and non-injured Veterans. They offer a variety of job training programs and have helped Veterans successfully re-enter the work force upon returning from military service. The recent bans on single-use plastic shopping bags have created jobs for Veterans, producing reusable cloth shopping bags. Earthwise specifically partnered with Green Vets LA to support this effort by producing their “All American Reusable Bags” in a Veteran-staffed sewing facility.
As a further enhancement of this program, Earthwise has developed a charity tie-in and has partnered with US Veteran’s non-profit organizations for this program. These organizations are strongly committed to helping severely injured Veterans and their families by raising money, building homes, relief and resiliency outreach, and more.
With the “All American Reusable Bag” Program, reusable bags will be printed with a customized store graphic and will include a special hangtag promoting the Veteran’s organization’s donation. A donation on the sale of each bag will be given to the Veteran’s organization on the retailer’s behalf.

About Green Vets Los Angeles
Green Vets Los Angeles is a non-profit organization that works with Veterans from the West Los Angeles VA Hospital to provide job training to both injured and non-injured Veterans. The program is designed to help Veterans earn a living and overcome the physical injuries and lingering anxieties by offering a wide variety of job training which will allow them to re-enter the work force upon returning from military service. The program is the brainchild of Jim Cragg, President and CEO of Special Operations Technologies, Inc., a defense contractor that specializes in military survival gear. Cragg launched Green Vets LA in 2009 with 20 sewing machines he bought for about $15,000 and 20 patients recruited from the Veterans Affairs’ West Los Angeles Medical Center. The program was founded in honor of a friend who committed suicide two days after coming home from a tour in Afghanistan. Today, an order for 100,000 bags will provide 10 Veterans with work for nine months. For more information, please visit http://www.greenvetsla.com/greenvetsla/. Reported by PRWeb 1 day ago.
