De Luz Women's Club presents 'Heroes, Cars & Canines', an event to raise money to train and provide service dogs for wounded veterans. For more information go to http://www.HeroesEventDeluz.org.

Temecula, CA (PRWEB) June 19, 2013

Heroes Cars & Canines is the theme for this years’ annual fundraiser sponsored by the De Luz Women’s Club. The event is scheduled to take place on Saturday, September 7, between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Cross Creek Golf Course in Temecula, California.

Proceeds from the event will benefit PAWZ for Wounded Veterans, a program to train and provide assistance dogs to the brave men and women who sustained disabling injuries or suffer from PTSD as a result of serving for our country. These very special dogs provide assistance with daily activities and can make independent living possible. They also serve as a bridge to the wider community; people focus on the dog instead of the disability. This leads to conversation and acceptance. For some veterans, the dog gives them the motivation to face the challenges of everyday life. Learn more about PAWZ for Wounded Veterans at http://www.caninesupportteams.org/pawz-for-wounded-veterans/.

Enjoy an afternoon at beautiful Cross Creek Golf Club in De Luz. There will be a Classic and Exotic Car Show, Casino, and Silent Auction. About 100 cars are expected to be on display at the event including a 1969 Triumph Spitfire and a 2012 Lamborghini. The Silent Auction will feature many great items including wine country tours, event tickets, original art and a NASCAR driving experience to be booked at one of 25 speedways and includes airfare and hotel. You will also enjoy tasting some local wines and craft beers, a variety of food vendors, artisans and live entertainment.

Attendees will be able to meet some veterans and their very special dogs while learning about PAWZ for Wounded Veterans’ training and placement programs.

Tickets are now available, and the De Luz Women’s Club is still looking for very special cars for the car show and donations to help make this event a success for PAWZ. For information, to purchase tickets, register your car or make a donation, please go to http://www.HeroesEventDeluz.org.

The De Luz Women’s Club is a non-profit organization comprised of women who live in the community of De Luz, in the hills just west of Temecula.
