High Hampton Expands Strategic Network in California -- CFN Media

SEATTLE, June 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CFN Media Group (“CFN Media”), the leading agency and financial media network dedicated to the North American cannabis industry, today announced publication of an article covering High Hampton Holdings Corp. (CSE:HC) (HC.CN) (CNSX:HC) (FSE:0HCN). The company recently announced the expansion of its cannabis distribution network in California through the acquisition of 420 Realty LLC, which has multiple permits to vertically integrate in the City of Cudahy, CA (Greater Los Angeles).California’s cannabis industry could exceed $7.7 billion by 2021, according to Arcview Market Research, driven by the legalization of adult-use cannabis this year. With cannabis cultivation scaling higher, investors are looking towards branding and distribution as potentially higher margin plays within the industry. But, there are only a handful of companies that have started building a large state-wide presence.

*420 Realty’s Unique Position*

Most investors are familiar with the concept of a Conditional Use Permit, or CUP, which are commonplace in cities like Coachella. The City of Cudahy uses a Development Agreement in lieu of a Conditional Use Permit. The Development Agreement, or DA, outlines what the developer is planning in an official application. The city reviews the application, vets the business, and conditionally gives a letter of approval upon meeting the requirements.

420 Realty LLC has applied for a Development Agreement that includes cannabis cultivation,  manufacturing, delivery, and distribution licenses of which the city of Cudahy has a pre-approved all on a single parcel location. In addition to the pre-approved license, the company is applying for six temporary state licenses and two of them have come through, including the processing license for processing cannabis flower and the cultivation license to actually grow cannabis flower -- which also covers the nursery as part of the process.

The company plans to establish a brand identity that is synonymous with top shelf quality and accessible pricing throughout California, while manufacturing, delivering, and distributing a wide variety of flower strains and marijuana concentrates in multiple CBD-to-THC ratios and terpene profiles. These products will be available in wholesale flower, concentrate, and vaporized cartridge forms, while the company may also provide white label services.

*Building a Strategic Network*

High Hampton is building a strategic cannabis distribution network in California that brings more products and quality brands online.

Christian Scovenna, High Hampton’s Sr. VP Corporate Finance, commented:

“This transaction further expands High Hampton’s strategic cannabis distribution network in California and will ultimately allow us to bring more products and quality brands online as we advance this and our other assets. With the previously announced acquisitions of CaliGold (see press release April 18, 2018) and Bravo Distro (see press release May 2, 2018) expected to close soon, High Hampton will be well positioned with distribution hubs, product and cultivation opportunities across California.”

The company’s flagship investment is its wholly-owned subsidiary, CoachellaGro Corp., which is building a 254,000 sq. ft. greenhouse facility situated in the cannabis industrial park located in Coachella, CA. The subsidiary has secured a Conditional Use Permit for development of a full-service production facility to serve third party state licensed medical marijuana operators and could become a leading complex in the state.

In addition to this project and the 420 Realty deal, the company previously announced the acquisitions of CaliGold and Bravo Distro. CaliGold sells seven multi-strain flavors of award-winning chocolate bars in dispensaries across the state with approximately $2 million in 2016/2017 revenue, while Bravo is a fast-growing cannabis distributor with a team of alcohol distribution veterans and cannabis industry experts.

*Looking Ahead*

High Hampton Holdings Corp. (CSE: HC) (FSE: 0HCN) represents a compelling investment opportunity in California’s burgeoning cannabis market. With a growing distribution network and brand portfolio, the company is uniquely positioned to deliver long-term shareholder value. Investors may want to take a closer look at the stock as it continues growing its brand portfolio and distribution network through strategic acquisitions.

Pure Safety Group Grows to Top Spot as Largest Independent Height Safety Company through Aggressive Acquisition Strategy

Pure Safety Group (PSG) today announced its second acquisition in the past two weeks, purchasing Ty-Flot, Inc., the global leader in dropped objects prevention products and services, rounding out the PSG comprehensive line up of market-leading height safety products for applications across multiple industries.

HOUSTON (PRWEB) June 25, 2018

Pure Safety Group (PSG) today announced its second acquisition in the past two weeks, purchasing Ty-Flot, Inc., the global leader in dropped objects prevention products and services, rounding out the PSG comprehensive line up of market-leading height safety products for applications across multiple industries. The transaction closed June 15, 2018.

“We’ve been busy building the type of company we’ve heard customers want,” said PSG CEO Brad Gates. “We’re hand-selecting market leaders, with an intentional focus on U.S.-made products in important categories, asking them to join us to build the world’s premier provider of height safety equipment and services.”

PSG was formed in August 2017 by industry veterans with deep safety expertise and through the acquisition of Guardian Fall Protection, Seattle and Web Devices, Houston. Just 14 days ago, the group announced it had added Checkmate Lifting and Safety Ltd., based in the U.K., to the growing PSG family of companies. Checkmate is the leading innovator, designer and manufacturer of lifting and height safety equipment.

Through the Ty-Flot acquisition, PSG will bring 126 granted or pending patents into PSG’s expansive proprietary portfolio, and add dropped object prevention products (tool tethers, anchors, attachment points and containers) as a new PSG product offering in the PSG premium product line-up. Ty-Flot will maintain its East Coast facility, which will be considered the Pure Safety Group innovation center for dropped object prevention products. Its engineers and product teams will join the now worldwide PSG innovation group.

The growing product offering will allow PSG to be a greater resource to oil and gas, power generation, construction and other market segments.

Ty-Flot leaders will stay active in the broader business, concentrating on continued innovation in the dropped objects category, and the ramp up of production to meet the needs of a larger marketplace. They will also focus on customer continuity, maintaining the family-style service and culture that Ty-Flot customers and employees have come to expect from founders Reggie Moreau, now general manager of the dropped objects prevention business, and Darrell and Andre Moreau, now product directors. Current Ty-Flot customers can continue to work with their Ty-Flot contacts for customized solutions to their safety needs. The Moreau family founded Ty-Flot in 1995.

According to Gates, their leadership also aligns well with PSG’s intent to be the leader in compliance of ANSI standards for height safety products. Last month, PSG announced ANSI Z359.18 compliance for several anchor products including details behind the testing that is performed in its accredited ISO 17025 laboratory and witnessed by a Professional Engineer. Ty-Flot leaders are active in developing ISEA and ANSI industry standards for dropped objects prevention products, serving on the ISEA 121 committee as influential, highly experienced advisors. If the standards in development for dropped objects prevention products are adopted by ISEA and ANSI, Pure Safety Group will voluntarily comply with them as part of its standards commitment.

“Customers want all the benefits an independent company provides – like product availability, excellent customer service, and trusted relationships,” said Reggie Moreau. “Yet their businesses demand continuous product innovation and centralized sourcing of a wide breadth of products and services. Pure Safety Group has built a company that brings together the best of independence and scale to benefit customers worldwide.”

About Pure Safety Group
Pure Safety Group™, parent company of Guardian Fall Protection, Web Devices, Checkmate and now Ty-Flot, is the world’s largest independent provider of height safety equipment and training. PSG’s leadership team including industry veterans such as Brad Gates, Kevin Coplan, Pat Velasco, Anders Pettersson, and Roland Schylit have deep experience as innovators, thought leaders and business builders in the global height safety industry. Their decades of experience and combined strengths, along with the talent and technology of the teams at Pure Safety Group facilities across the world, have quickly built the company into the global source for keeping workers safe at height. Coaching and four $25,000 grant programs available each year to military community entrepreneurs; summer program to focus on food and beverage small businesses.

WASHINGTON (PRWEB) June 25, 2018

The StreetShares Foundation and Sam Adams Brewing the American Dream program have partnered to present the food and beverage edition of the Veteran Small Business Award. The summer cycle of the Veteran Small Business Award will provide small business capital and extensive mentoring, educational materials and inspiration to “vetrepreneurs” in the food and beverage industry. The finalists will also have the opportunity to pitch their business idea live in front of an audience of the biggest military community bloggers, media, and thought leaders.

To apply, qualified applicants will submit a video pitch and a brief application to the StreetShares Foundation website. Finalists are chosen based on five criteria: business idea, use of funds and impact, product or service, team and company history, and the social impact the business has on the military and veteran community. Previous winners have impacted the military community in health care, children and families, and education. The StreetShares Foundation will select the semi-finalists and the public will vote to determine the three finalists. For rules, terms and conditions please visit the StreetShares Foundation website at streetshares.com/foundation.

“Military veterans go into business ownership at higher rates than non-veterans, and many enter the food and beverage industries,” said Mark L. Rockefeller, Chairman of the StreetShares Foundation. “This program matches them with the three things they need most to succeed: coaching, mentoring, and funding.”

The final stretch of the food and beverage Veteran Small Business Award will take place in Orlando, Fl in September at the Military Influencer Conference, a conference that allows military veteran influencers and entrepreneurs to immerse themselves in three days of workshops, educational lectures and networking events in which they will discover how to better build brand recognition and grow their small business. On the last day of the conference, the three finalists with the highest number of votes will have the opportunity to pitch their business to a live audience of community bloggers, media, and thought leaders. Shortly after the conclusion of the pitches, the audience will vote to determine which individuals receive the awards for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

World Cup 2018: What we learned from day 12

World Cup 2018: What we learned from day 12“The football is almost like a side-show,” moaned BBC co-commentator Mark Lawrenson. “It’s all about VAR and the referees. It’s crazy.”

For once, the watching viewers were inclined to agree with him. Video assistant referees were bound to take time to bed in, but during Portugal’s 1-1 draw with Iran the man in charge, Enrique Caceres, allowed the game to descend into chaos.

*Read more*: World Cup 2018: England should not fear Group H last 16 opponents

Cristiano Ronaldo successfully appealed for a VAR-assisted penalty (which he then had saved) and was shown a yellow card after an off-the-ball clash with Morteza Pouraliganji, while finally Iran’s equalising penalty came courtesy of a VAR referral for hand ball against Cedric Soares.

The result: everyone on the pitch, in the stands and at home left bemused by the decision-making.

*Spain scrape through top to face Russia*

Spain stretched their unbeaten run to 23 matches last night to make sure they finished top of their group for the fourth time in their last five tournaments, but their 2-2 draw with Morocco was far from straightforward.

There are problems for stand-in coach Fernando Hierro to address before Spain play hosts Russia in the last 16. Andres Iniesta and Sergio Ramos, normally two dependable veterans, were at fault for Khalid Boutaib’s opener and it took an injury-time goal from Iago Aspas to spare their blushes.

The defence in particular looks suspect: Spain have now conceded 12 goals in their last six World Cup matches – as many as they had in their previous 18 combined.

*Russia’s World Cup bandwagon loses a wheel*

After a blockbusting start to their home World Cup, Russia were brought back down to earth with a bump when they lost 3-0 to Uruguay in Samara.

For those who had been wondering how much to read into Russia’s swashbuckling wins over Saudi Arabia and Egypt, this appeared to provide an answer: not too much.Russia's optimism after their opening two wins was tempered by a 3-0 defeat by Uruguay (Source: Getty)

In a match to forget for Stanislav Cherchesov’s side, they had Igor Smolnikov sent off and saw Denis Cheryshev – until now, their star performer at the tournament – net an unfortunate own goal.

While Russia’s bandwagon has lost a wheel, Uruguay’s is positively gathering pace.

*Golden oldie El Hadary makes history*

He may have ended up on the losing side and bottom of Group A but Egypt goalkeeper Essam El Hadary at least made history in today's 2-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia.

At 45 years and five months, El Hadary became the oldest player to feature at a World Cup and even saved a first-half penalty from Fahad Al Muwallad to keep his side in front.

Perhaps the evergreen stopper – older than three of the managers at this tournament – took inspiration from Panama veteran Felipe Baloy, who netted his side’s consolation goal in Sunday’s thrashing by England at the ripe old age – for a striker – of 37.

From political rivals to buddies: Bill Clinton visits George HW Bush; finds his face on socks

$

At a time when it's normal to see tweets where political rivals go after each others throats, a tweet involving two former US Presidents - both political rivals - has left us smiling.

Former US President Bill Clinton visited his predecessor George HW Bush at his home in Texas. Clinton had led a successful campaign against the senior Bush in the early 1990s, but that rivalry ended soon after and developed into a close-knit friendship.

The former president, 94, was paid a visit by fellow former president Bill Clinton, 71, on Monday. The two were photographed during the sweet moment in which Bush showed off his blue and black socks that had Clinton’s face on them.

Special visit today with a great friend -- and now, a best-selling author. Luckily I had a freshly laundered pair of @BillClinton socks to mark the occasion. pic.twitter.com/v9jb4sRexh

— George Bush (@GeorgeHWBush) June 25, 2018

In fact, Bush had even worn Clinton socks to welcome the husband of Hillary Clinton. "Special visit today with a great friend -- and now, a best-selling author. Luckily I had a freshly laundered pair of @BillClinton socks to mark the occasion (sic)," Bush tweeted.

A great joy to welcome home the newest member of our family, "Sully," a beautiful -- and beautifully trained -- lab from @AmericasVetDogs. Could not be more grateful, especially for their commitment to our veterans. pic.twitter.com/Fx4ZCZAJT8

— George Bush (@GeorgeHWBush) June 25, 2018

The two of them are also seen posing with a rescue dog that once belonged to Army vetereans. Sitting with Bill Clinton, Bush tweeted, "A great joy to welcome home the newest member of our family, "Sully," a beautiful -- and beautifully trained -- lab from @AmericasVetDogs. Could not be more grateful, especially for their commitment to our veterans."

Recently, Bush was admitted to a Houston hospital for an infection that spread to his blood a day after the funeral of Barbara Bush, his wife of seven decades, a family spokesman said on Monday.

Bush, 93, was admitted to Houston Methodist Hospital on Sunday, spokesman Jim McGrath said in a statement. Bush was seen in a wheelchair on Saturday at the funeral of his wife, the former US first lady, who died last Tuesday. The two had been married for 73 years.

"He is responding to treatments and appears to be recovering," McGrath said in a statement.

The Mission Continues Celebrates Growth, New Opportunities With Diverse Donor Investments

The veterans’ nonprofit engages new donors and increases established investments to support veterans and communities nationwide

NEW YORK (PRWEB) June 26, 2018

The Mission Continues is expanding its base of supporters with several new donor partnerships and increased strategic investments from existing donors. These developments will provide additional capacity, furthering the organization’s mission of empowering veterans to find growth, purpose and connection through community service.

New donors to The Mission Continues’ growing list of supporters include Kaiser Permanente and Diageo North America. The organization also received strategic funding from two of its existing partners, The Bob Woodruff Foundation and The Schultz Family Foundation. Through these partnerships, the organization will collaborate on cause-marketing campaigns, corporate social responsibility initiatives and new opportunities to support their growing programs.

“Enduring commitments from our donors both fuel us and motivate us as we continue to drive impact in communities,” said Spencer Kympton, U.S. Army veteran and president of The Mission Continues. “We are locking arms with our terrific partners in cities across the country - and together we are effecting positive change for veterans and for the communities in which they live.”

Kaiser Permanente, one of the newest partnerships, is already jumping into action, supporting the third-annual Mass Deployment – Operation Watts Is Worth It – benefiting Los Angeles’ historic Watts neighborhood from June 21-28.

“Community service is in our DNA at Kaiser Permanente and as a veteran myself it’s an honor to help empower other veterans to serve their communities,” said Jim Branchick, senior vice president and area manager, Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center. “With the Kaiser Permanente Watts Counseling and Learning Center, we’ve been part of the community for 50 years and being a part of Operation Watts is Worth It is an extension of that commitment.”

Highlights about recent donors to The Mission Continues include:

Kaiser Permanente
Kaiser Permanente and The Mission Continues are both nonprofit organizations with shared beliefs and a commitment to providing high-quality resources to communities nationwide, which is why the partnership to support Operation Watts Is Worth It is a natural fit. The Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center has been providing care to more than 370,000 members in the Southeast Los Angeles community since 1965, while the Mass Deployment brings together more than 80 veterans, volunteers and local organizations for a weeklong series of high-impact projects to create a lasting, visible impact in the same area.

The Bob Woodruff Foundation
The Bob Woodruff Foundation, a founding funder of The Mission Continues’ Service Platoon Program in 2013, recently increased its commitment to the organization through additional grant support. This funding will ensure the establishment of a new Puerto Rico service platoon that will engage local veterans and support long-term recovery efforts addressing the devastating effects of Hurricane Maria. Additionally, the grant will fund ten veteran members of the Service Leadership Corps, a new program that empowers veterans to be community based leaders of social change.

The Schultz Family Foundation
Since 2015, the Schultz Family Foundation (SFF) has been a supporter of The Mission Continues and recently renewed its commitment to their efforts for 2018. SFF continues to invest in initiatives that foster veterans’ success, unifying the leadership of our communities and country through the support of the Service Leadership Corps, Service Platoon Programs and the Mass Deployment Program.

Diageo
The Mission Continues is engaging in a cause-marketing initiative, which was established by Diageo North America for the release of its latest spirit, American Anthem Vodka. As part of the initiative, one dollar from each bottle produced of American Anthem Vodka will go to help veterans and veteran organizations, including The Mission Continues, to further propel the organizations’ efforts to empower veterans as they address real-time community issues.

AltLending Inc. has launched a beta version of its new lending platform that allows companies to use cryptocurrencies as collateral to borrow US dollars. Potential borrowers will be able to apply for access at https://www.altlending.com.

NEW YORK (PRWEB) June 26, 2018

AltLending Inc. has launched a beta version of its new lending platform that allows companies to use cryptocurrencies as collateral to borrow US dollars. AltLending is a subsidiary of Dominion Capital, a New York City based investment firm. AltLending is currently piloting the beta product with select clients leveraging Bitcoin and Ethereum as collateral. Potential borrowers will be able to apply for access at https://www.altlending.com.

AltLending’s platform will allow companies to leverage their blockchain assets to borrow US dollars. The platform currently allows clients to use Bitcoin and Ethereum as collateral with other crypto currencies expected to follow in future releases.

Currently the platform offers simple interest-only loans, and maturities between 6 to 12 months. In the future AltLending will offer additional products such as amortizing loans and flexible credit lines.

AltLending brings years of finance and technology expertise to the blockchain space. Our parent company, Dominion Capital, has been active in many traditional areas of capital markets, including equities and bonds trading, public structured credit, venture capital, and real estate. Unlike most other lenders in the space, we are not a peer-to-peer lender. Having access to institutional capital means borrowers don’t need to wait days or even weeks to receive a loan.

Select clients are being invited to onboard to the beta platform now at https://www.altlending.com. Public release is scheduled for Fall 2018.

“Our team has been involved in capital markets for almost a decade now, and blockchain technologies, along with cryptocurrencies, provide an amazing new way to transfer assets and store value in this digital age. Last year we’ve seen a large number of companies come our way requesting loans backed by blockchain assets. Some have done an ICO and are looking for working capital, some are miners that need to finance their operations, and others are early adopters in need of funds to act as a bridge to large purchases. There is tremendous demand in the market for large loans and high-quality institutional level service. We are very excited about the opportunity to help blockchain holders unlock value without selling the underlying blockchain asset and obtain liquidity through AltLending.” Mikhail Gurevich CEO AltLending.

Company Description
Alt Lending is an institutional lending platform that makes U.S. Dollar loans secured by existing blockchain assets of their borrowers (initially BTC and ETH.) The core team is comprised of veterans that have successfully built technology startups, worked at large financial institutions, built and operated strong compliance and regulatory programs and transacted in over a $1 billion in direct principal investments. Alt Lending builds on Dominion Capital's and its teams' experience in originating and managing loans, conducting risk management, setting up best practices, and helping businesses scale.
